Review Criteria — AI Tools

Every AI prediction tool reviewed on this site is scored on six equally-weighted criteria. Each criterion scores 1–10, for a maximum of 60 points, converted to a 5-star rating. Scores are recalculated at each review update.

  1. Prediction Accuracy & Calibration. We test whether stated probability percentages match observed outcomes over 100+ predictions. Calibration matters more than raw accuracy — a 70% confidence pick should win roughly 70% of the time across a large sample.
  2. ROI Transparency. We verify whether published ROI claims are independently audited, time-stamped, and based on a sample size large enough to be statistically significant (minimum 500 bets). Self-reported records without third-party verification are flagged.
  3. Pricing & Value. We assess the pricing tiers against the quality of output, the availability of a free entry point, and the realistic subscription cost relative to a bettor's expected bankroll and stake sizes.
  4. Market & League Coverage. We check which betting markets (1X2, BTTS, Over/Under, Asian Handicap) and which leagues are covered with genuine model depth versus token listing for marketing purposes.
  5. Community Sentiment. We research Reddit (r/sportsbook, r/soccer), Discord communities, and Trustpilot reviews to understand real user experience beyond controlled testimonials on the tool's own website.
  6. Transparency & Methodology. We assess whether the tool explains its model, publishes its data sources, and allows users to verify performance data. Black-box tools with no explainability receive lower scores regardless of claimed results.

Unverified Tools

Tools listed on this site but not yet independently tested carry the following label and apply the following rules:

Status: Unverified

Listed for awareness. We have not independently tested this tool. Performance claims are from the tool's own marketing and have not been verified by FootballBetslip.com.

Unverified tools are not assigned a star rating or scored on any criterion. Any performance figures displayed are sourced directly from the tool's own published marketing and are reproduced without endorsement.

Pending Tools

Tools currently in our review pipeline carry the following label:

Status: Pending

This tool is in our review pipeline. Testing is in progress. We will publish a full review once testing is complete and we can make an independent assessment.

Pending tools are not scored and no editorial verdict is made until testing is concluded.

Affiliate Links and Editorial Bias Prevention

This site earns revenue through affiliate commissions. Affiliate arrangements are necessary to fund tool subscriptions used for testing, site operations, and staff time. We include affiliate links because they allow us to provide independent coverage at no cost to readers.

To prevent commercial relationships from influencing editorial output:

  • Ratings and scores are set by testing data, not by commercial relationship status.
  • A tool with an affiliate arrangement is reviewed using the same six criteria as any other tool.
  • Negative findings — poor calibration, unverified ROI, overpriced tiers — are published regardless of commercial status.
  • We do not accept payment to write positive reviews, alter scores, or remove critical content.
  • Tools are not included in the review suite because they offer affiliate commission — they are included because they meet our inclusion criteria (verified ROI data, transparent methodology, free entry point).

Data Sources — Accepted vs Rejected

We differentiate between self-reported data and independently audited data:

  • Accepted: Independently audited ROI data (third-party verification), our own tracked testing results, public market research from named publishers (Grand View Research, Mordor Intelligence, SportRadar), official tool disclosures, and community-reported observations with consistent sample size.
  • Flagged, not rejected: Self-reported ROI from tools' own tracking platforms where we have conducted a spot-check and found results plausible but unconfirmed. These are labelled clearly in reviews.
  • Rejected: Statistics from surveys we did not conduct, industry figures without a named original source, marketing claims without supporting data, and any figures we cannot verify through a primary source.

False Claim Policy

We do not publish statistics we cannot source. If a figure cannot be attributed to a named, publicly available primary source — or to our own tracked testing data — it is not included in editorial content.

This applies to survey results, adoption rates, ROI comparisons, and any quantitative claim used to support an editorial argument. Where a figure was previously published on this site and later identified as unverifiable, it is removed and, where material, a correction note is added.

Review Updates & Corrections

Reviews are updated when tools materially change their pricing, features, or measured performance. Significant corrections are noted in-page with the date of update. Minor corrections (typographical, link updates) are made without a formal correction note.

Independence

Editorial ratings, rankings, and written assessments are determined solely by our testing data and analysis. Commercial relationships — affiliate agreements, sponsored placements, or tool partnerships — do not influence editorial scores or recommendations.

If a tool we earn commission on performs poorly in testing, we say so. If a tool we have no commercial relationship with is the best option, we recommend it.

Testing Standards

Tools are tested with real accounts, real funds, and documented over a minimum 60-day period before a review is published. We track:

  • Pick volume and delivery consistency
  • Stated vs observed accuracy rates
  • ROI across bet types and markets
  • Value edge calculations and transparency
  • Free-tier limitations vs paid-tier value

Affiliate Disclosure

We disclose affiliate relationships on every page where they are present. Affiliate links are marked with rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" and open in a new tab. We do not use hidden tracking redirects.

Revenue from affiliate commissions funds the site's operations, tool subscriptions used for testing, and staff time. We do not accept payment to alter or remove negative content.

Data & Statistics

Any statistic cited on this site is sourced from publicly available market research, official platform disclosures, or our own tracked testing data. We do not publish statistics from surveys we did not conduct. When we cite third-party data, we identify the source.
